As a therapist, my goal is to help individuals create positive environments where they can learn and build from their strengths to thrive. You are your life expert; I want to help you by tailoring interventions that can help you achieve your goals.
I practice from a solution-focused and strength-based approach; I only utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).
Mindfulness is also part of my therapeutic approach. I can help you learn how to implement relaxation techniques in a world that seems to never stop. I use exposure and “en vivo” exercises for anxiety disorders, as well as homework to help identify behavioral patters that may be interfering in reaching your goals.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State (LH60361756), a National Certified Counselor (267498), and an EMDR certified therapist by the EMDR International Association, EMDRIA. You can verify my credentials as an LMHC, NCC, and EMDR certified therapist.
I graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. I earned a Master of Science in Counseling from the University of Phoenix, which is a Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP)-accredited program.
I am a professional member of the following organizations: EMDRIA; Washington Mental Health Counselors Association; Seattle Counselors Association and National Board for Certified Counselors.
In addition to HSA and FSA accounts, I accept the following insurance: Premera, Regence, First Choice EAP.
I can also provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursements.
